Who is Christopher Gabriel?

Christopher Gabriel is a classically trained actor who, in 2005, decided it was time to exchange arenas, and mediums, going from the stages and live audiences of theatre to the broadcast studios and microphones of talk radio.

He began his radio career at 100.3 KTLK in Minneapolis.  Although never confirmed, most believed Christopher was the oldest intern in radio history (it was confirmed he was old).  Within the first 18 months he was hosting his own weekend show, The Saturday Tabloid, co-hosting For What it’s Wirth with Jeffrey Wirth and filling in as a host or co-host on other KTLK programs.  He was also an on-air contributor and the associate producer for The Pat Kessler Show, the producer of The KTLK Morning Show, The Fox Morning News and Chowhounds with Andrew Zimmern (also hosting Chowhounds when Zimmern was away shooting Bizarre Foods for The Travel Channel) while recording numerous voiceovers for Clear Channel Minneapolis (KTLK, KDWB, K102, KFAN, Cities 97, KOOL 108).

He also worked at 107.1 WFMP in St. Paul as a producer, on-air contributor and guest co-host for several weekend shows.

In the 26 years prior to coming to radio, his theatrical resume included more than 100 plays performing on professional stages ranging from the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland to Off Broadway in New York City to regional theatres in various parts of the United States.  In that time, he had the privilege of working with acclaimed actors, writers and directors such as James Earl Jones, Julie Harris, Mitch Albom, Jeffrey Hatcher, John Houseman, Duncan Ross and John Barton.  He’s also worked with a donkey possessing overactive bowels, a psychotic bird with an attitude and two angry Yorkshire Terriers.

As a freelance writer his popular blog, Blog Harbor, has been published by Reuters, the Chicago Sun-Times and numerous publications within the Sun-Times News Group.

A native of Chicago, Christopher now makes his home in Minneapolis with the three loves of his life: His beautiful wife and two daughters.
